Figures show over 1,700 freight trains have been in operation monthly for three months in a row.

In the first seven months of this year, the China-Europe Railway Express operated a total of 11,403 trains, transporting nearly 1.23 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of goods, representing year-on-year increases of 12 percent and 11 percent, respectively.

The data, released by the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. on Saturday, shows that in July alone, 1,776 trains carried 185,000 TEUs of goods, marking the third consecutive month with over 1,700 trains in operation.

Since the start of this year, the company says it has been focused on enhancing the quality and efficiency of the China-Europe Railway Express services to maintain the stability and continuity of the international supply and industrial chains.

To achieve this, various measures have been implemented, including the strengthening of transportation channels, the improvement of transshipment capacities at border ports, and the promotion of a rapid customs clearance model.
