Hapag-Lloyd adds surcharges from March

Hapag-Lloyd has announced the introduction of the extra charge on trades to the Far East

Hapag-Lloyd will implement a peak season surcharge (PSS) on all cargoes in 20’ and 40’ (all units) on trades from North Europe to the Far East.

Effective for sailings as of 1 March 2020 and valid until further notice the PSS will be as follows:

  • US$325 per container (Dry, Reefer, Special, Tank)

The German shipping company will, also, apply a PSS for all container types on the trade from Southern Europe, the Mediterranean and Black Sea to East Asia. Also effective for sailings from 1 March 2020 and valid until further notice the PSS for Southern Europe will be as follows:

  • US$350 per container (dry, reefer, special, tank)
